Why don't you try?
Probably faster than posting
I just set up a batch queue with a copy job and used that. Works.
cheers

Re: catalog: opening related file in file-sytem mode
Thanks you for your reply,
but I don't want to make a copy of the file - I just want to import the same file to a new catalog - without searching the file in file system mode and then import - but maybe I don't understand what you are doing ...
I have the possibility to use version - show folder of the original file - but only in nautilus (in my case) - not show folder of the original file in ASP file system mode - then re-import would be a bit faster - but maybe you know the working trick

Re: catalog: opening related file in file-sytem mode
If I understand you correctly, you want to (re)import an image, but if you use the file system pane then ASP will create a preview for every image in the same directory, which could take quite a long while.hannes_hab wrote:Thanks you for your reply,

The easiest way out is to unselect Preferences|Import & Cache|Create Previews during Importing and File System Browsing : ASP won't create any preview, it'll just load the embedded one.

Don't think it is currently possible to do it the way you want it.
