My Instant Project Custom Templates have disappeared from the edit screen, if I click on browse, then select C:\ProgramData\Downloads\Templates, they are all there, when I try to open them it says they are already installed, yet they are not showing. They were there, but disappeared when I downloaded another 2 custom templates, these 2 are now the only ones that show in custom view. Any ideas on how to get them back
Robert
Oops, just noticed that my profile is incorrect, using win 7 Home edition, not XP, now just have to remember how to change my profile

Re: Disappearing Custom Templates X5 Ultimate
Can't remember where they go in Win XP but in Win 7 the instant project templates go into a separate folder called VSPT templates - I think lata still has XP he can confirm where the instant project templates go. On my computer in Windows 7 they are located at :- C:\Users\Brian\Documents\Corel VideoStudio Pro\VSPTemplate - you must have a similar folder in XP, the download folder is simply where a download puts them once you install them they go somewhere else.
Do they appear in the Instant project library inside VS - it is not normal to browse to a folder to open them but to open the Instant project library pane inside VideoStudio and then simply drag the thumbnail down into the timeline.

Re: Disappearing Custom Templates X5 Ultimate
Hi Brian
Strange that I had to activate the first post by Robert, unless the post has been modified.
Robert the instant templates are downloaded and then installed to:-
C:\Documents and Settings\Trevor\My Documents\Corel VideoStudio Pro\VSPTemplate
This is the same location when using Windows 7, within the My Documents folder structure.
The template will show in the library the next time you run Video Studio.
You can however corrupt the library, I have done so when shall we say messing about.
But will have to give my brain some time to remember what I did and how to reset the library?
-------------------------
Now we know you are using W7 I realise why I had to activate the post again.
---------------------------
I was unaware of the C:\ProgramData\Downloads\Templates location, but then again using XP.
--------------------------
As an aside, there are a lot of templates to download, not all will be appropriate and simply fill the library.
I downloaded a template which installed to VSPTemplate, I then moved the folder to another location, I was able to view its content by opening the VSP file. When I was sure it was appropriate I simply moved it back to VSPTemplate, restarting VS inserted it to the library.
------------------------------
Can you view the folder VSPTemplate to see what files are there.

Re: Disappearing Custom Templates X5 Ultimate
Hi Brian & lata
C:\ProgramData\Corel\Downloads appears to be where downloads are stored before installation After installation they then also appear in the VSPTemplate folder.
Yes, all my downloaded content are displayed in the VSPTemplate folder. I resolved the issue by uninstalling/reinstalling VSX5 and all downloads are now back.
Thank you for your assistance
