where's the creative collection?
Hi. I just downloaded the 30-day free trial of what I thought was PSP ProX5 Ultimate. I'm interested in that particular download only because of the advertised "Creative collection of royalty-free images, brushes and textures." And even though I clicked on the download button for the Ultimate version, it looks as if what I actually downloaded is the PSP ProX5 version (not the Ultimate) As far as the basic PSP program goes, this download doesn't look all that different fro the PSP ProX4 version, that I already have. So I'm wondering why I should pay 79.99 for an upgrade to something that doesn't have the creative collection, and which I have no way of evaluating whether I want it or not. So essentially my question is, where's the creative collection? And if it's not included in this trial version, why should I pay for something if I'm not able to see what I would be getting?

Re: where's the creative collection?
I don't believe you will get the Creative Collection with a trial version. Once they give it to you there is really no way to take it back if you decide not to purchase so I can understand why they do it that way.
I would suggest basing your decision to upgrade on whether you think the difference between X4 and X5 is worth it to you. The Creative Collection contains some brushes, textures and royalty free backgrounds. You can find many free brushes, textures and backgrounds on the web.

Thank you for your input, Kathy_9. Yes, I know I can get lots of things free online. I was just hoping to get lots of fantastic stuff without having to search for it. Thank you also for the link. I'll take a look.

Re: where's the creative collection?
Not sure what you mean by Creative Collection, but I was able to download all the tubes and brushes and patterns and gradients, etc. with the trial version and they were not removed when I uninstalled it. I didn't realize that when I installed again from the CD but when I downloaded them all again they went into a different folder, so I have them twice. Did not get the NIK filters with the trial version, if that is what you are looking for, although I did get the KPT filters with the trial version.

Okay, I got 'em. Just needed to open the program again, then there was a pop-up with links to the downloads. So everything is cool. Thanks to all for your comments.

Re: where's the creative collection?
Those are not the "Creative Collection."
Just to be clear. The downloads that come from the "Corel Guide" are all of the normal extra content that used to come direct with a new installation of PSP. These have been separated out to make a smaller download of the main program.
The "Creative Collection" is something extra available only with the Ultimate edition of the program. These are not available through the trial. They come as a separate download when you buy the program just like the NIK filters.
The downloads you receive from the "Corel Guide" are just the normal extras that everyone gets regardless of which version of the program they have. (Standard/Ultimate/Trial)

Re: where's the creative collection?
Thank you, LeviFiction, for this info. I thought these downloads looked the same as the filters, etc., that I already have on PSP ProX4. I'm disappointed, though, that the Creative Collection is not available in the trial version. I guess I'll postpone any upgrade. My question remains, why should I pay for something when I'm not able to see what I would be getting? Anyway, thanks again for the info. It clears up the confusion.

Re: where's the creative collection?
Once your purchase PSP X5 Ultimate and activated it, you should be able to see the download link for the Creative Collection from the Corel Guide and click on the DO MORE TAB. You can also open the Corel Guide by clicking on the icon next to the minimize icon.
