Lower Thirds

Post by ponds01 »

Hi
I am trying to add animated lower third to my video project. I have VS9 and Cool3D 3.0 (C3D). Is it possible to create one with C3D and add it to VS9? If so, can anyone please help me in how to export that from C3D and include in VS9? I know that it is possible with flash animation but I am looking for to use C3D.

I tried static lower thirds with PhotoImpact 6 component designer. They came up very good if I export as True color transparent PNG file and add it to overlay.

I am not sure if this query goes to C3D thread.

Thanks

Using your Cool 3D project you can create a Flash (swf) file, or AVI to be imported into VS9.

I don't have my copy installed right now, however you do this via the File menu, create animation, then select Flash or AVI. Your project will be rendered to a swf or avi file.

However VS9 allows you to import a Cool 3D file into the timeline, so you really wouldn't need to render it before. Just open up your timeline, overlay track. Click on the folder located to the lower left, and browse for your Cool 3D file to import it.

Hope that helps :)

It worked. Thanks vidoman. Appreciate your help.

I could able to import as .avi. It is not allowing C3D file. Gave me "File format error". I don't know it could be my C3D 3.0 version. It is not C3D Production Studio.

But anyway I happy with this.

Thanks once again
