I have been uploading videos to YouTube without problem but when attempting to upload to Vimeo for the first time, I got an error. It suggested that I review the compression guidelines. According to the guidelines from Vimeo, all of my settings were correct except the data rate. It suggested a data rate of 2000kbps for SD and 5000kbps for HD. When I checked my project properties, in the Create Viedeo File window when sharing, I noticed a data rate of 15000kbps. I have been rendering my videos as MPEG4 HD files and just leaving the defaults. Should I be changing them? If 5000 kbps is standard, why would that be a default in Corel? I am not totally technical so I may be missing something. Any help is welcome.

Re: Error when uploading to Vimeo
if you use the output in VideoStudio designated for Vimeo then the default bit-rate is 5000 so you already have a setting in VideoStudio - it can be found in the "upload to Web" options - where you will find other web based options - and as 5000 is the standard for web based display all of them have a 5000 default without you changing anything - there is a 5000 default in videoStudio.
The 15000 default option is best for showing on larger screens such as TV's so prepare your video according to where you expect to watch it.
