Open burned DVD for editing in VS Pro X4?
I mentioned in a previous post that I had a pc problem and lost some of the vsp files I made the DVD with. I still have actual burned DVD's and am wondering if it is possible to somehow open them in VideoStudio to do some additional editing. Thanks for any help.

yes it is very easy to import all the videos on the DVD back into VideoStudio and do some more editing.
Put the DVD in your computer disc drive - in VideoStudio RIGHT click over the timeline and from the pop-out choose "insert digital media" - in the new window which opens browse to the DVD then make sure you click the boxes against the DVD titles so that they have a red tick in them before clicking OK - and then start - which should copy the files on the disc to your timeline.

Thanks so much. It is imported, however the whole movie is a mpg and the individual pictures, transitions and such aren't there. I probably am missing something somewhere but how do you see the individual files (pictures, movies, etc,) so they can be edited,
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

Of course you no longer "see" the individual pictures, movies, etc since you "merged" everything into one movie when you created the DVD.654321 wrote:Thanks so much. Any edits can now only be applied to the movie as a whole. With some work you can extract all the individual movies, pictures etc from the movie but that could be a tedious process if you had a lot of those when you created the DVD.
If you still have the original source videos, pictures, etc somewhere on your system you can of course restart a new project to make a new DVD. This would actually be quicker then trying to extract all the elements of the project from the DVD
