Anybody else get this:
Create a Polygon Layer.
Add Points by Shift-Clicking
Move the additional points
Do this enough and ASP stops working...
The more points added the quicker the kill
Additional Polygon Points Kills ASP

Done that in the monkey for the last three versions. Am I alone in this bug?

Thanks afx I will stop looking for solutions on my end.

I've just checked an image that I worked on recently where I wanted to darken a distracting background. I knew it would have quite a few polygon points so I've been back & counted them and found it has over 100 points in each of the 2 polygons (117/107 to be precisely approximate - reality may be 1 or 2 more or less points)! The image & ASP are both working fine.
Like the OP I'm running Windows 7-64 (Ultimate rather than Pro) but my system (a home-brew) is running an AMD Phenom 2 CPU & AMD/ATI Graphics. Could it be the graphics drivers & ASP not getting on (that would be my first guess) & wonder if changing the driver for newer or older, at least as a temporary measure, might help. (Haven't Nvidia drivers been a problem, at least under linux, in the past?)
Rick.

AMD Quad Phenom and an Nvidia card in my Win7 64 box. Or Ubuntu 12.4 64bit on AMD and Intel chips in my laptops.
Happens on all of them sometimes. Typically D700 files.

Re: Additional Polygon Points Kills ASP
Mine (W7) didnt crash but sometimes gets confused and starts drawing a new polygon instead of carrying on drawing the old one ... somwhere there is some asynchronous processing that misbehaves I guess

Re: Additional Polygon Points Kills ASP
Yup, very easy to accidentally start a new one when trying to add points too quickly.

Re: Additional Polygon Points Kills ASP
One thing I noticed early on, if I did not give some time between releasing the shift key and moving the new point it would kill almost instantly. My drivers are all up to date... but I will check again today....
Well my drivers are only two weeks old but that seem to have done the trick... I will continue to try to kill it but I have added dozens and no DOA
Thank you RickHeath!!!
