Create New Version = Sort Thumbnails

Post by WilsonC »

Anybody else experience this? When I create a new version the original thumbnail and the version are then sorted to the top of the thumbnail list. I've checked all the sorting and preferences and so far cannot find an option that would control this.

Above the thumbnails, at left of screen (if normal view) is a drop down menu that offers options for select sorting. For some reason it changes without prompting at times. If it says "custom" it will move thumbnail and new version to top of list. Reset it to "name" and they will stay in numerical order.

Wow, that's embarrassing! Been using AfterShot since it was released and never even noticed that drop menu. Thanks!

The switch to custom seems to appear whenever one drags a thumb even so lightly, so it is easy to trigger without notice....

cheers
