Cannot install VS x5

I just purchased video studio x5. I downloaded the install file and when I try to install it says its installing but the install window it opens looks nothing like the install window in the video on how to install the program. None of the frequently asked questions helped.

I also attempted to install the trial but the same thing happens. After install shield wizard completes the install process the window disappears but the program is no where to be found on my computer.

Regarding the purchased version, what does the installation window look like?

Re the trial version: in Computer (or Windows Explorer) is there no reference to Corel\Video Studio X5?

This shows up for a split second.


then this shows up right after and loads for about 25 seconds



after its done "installing" as it says, nothing confirms its installed and there is no program file to be found or anything at all.

The same exact thing happens when I used the trial version.

The installation of Video Studio does take some time, the desktop can clear for some time
What happens after these windows close? The installation should continue showing a Corel Video Studio window?????

I notice you are using 64bit system.

The Corel installation files should be here C:/Program Files (x86) -- Corel.

If you view your Program and Features is Video Studio listed?

When you run the instillation file it extracts its content to a temp folder which is then used to install the program. After which the temp files are removed. make sure the temp folder is empty before installing.
Run or Search for %temp%---view the files/folders for a Corel VideoStudio folder which should be empty.
