corel paint shop 2 & corel video studio X5
Hi allI I watched to tutorials on moving photos to corel paint shop, but my programs doesn't seem to allow me to do this. I can put photos into paint shop make layers but then cannot find path to get them into video studio X5. The easy thought is that the two do not work together. Am I right? Thanks for any help I can get. Magoo70 the wrong side (sigh)

Sorry but I can't quite follow what you are trying to do - what was the object of the tutorial you watched - you would not normally need to put photos into Paint Shop before putting them into VideoStudio what was the reason for that - you can import photos direct into VideoStudio.
if you just want to put photos in the timeline of VideoStudio just right click over the timeline - choose "Insert Photo" and browse to wherever the photo is - select it and click open - the photo will appear in the VideoStudio timeline.

Re: corel paint shop 2 & corel video studio X5
...Or if you have to edit the photos first, for example by making some of them into a collage, you just save them as a new image. Then you open Video Studio and follow Brian's instructions above for opening them in the VS timeline. But no, there is no automatic way of somehow transferring them from inside PaintShop to Video Studio...

Re: corel paint shop 2 & corel video studio X5
OK - so have you succeeded in putting those effects on your photos in Paint Shop Pro or are you stuck at that point.
If you have succeeded in that stage save your pictures in a suitable format - bmp , jpg , png , gif and exit Paint Shop
Open up VideoStudio and as I suggested above right click over the timeline and choose *insert photo* then browse to the photo, select it - click open and the photo will appear in the timeline.
Or do these stars and bubbles move ? in which case I would not use Paint Shop at all but put my photos in VideoStudio and put effects filters over them.
can you point me to where I might view the tutorial you have seen then I may be better informed as to what you want.
It can be done - you will do it - lets take one step at a time - just give some answers to my points above and we will move forward.

Re: corel paint shop 2 & corel video studio X5
Sir: I just bought my version of corel Video Studio pro x5 about 5 days ago at best buy. When opening the program every time, a little box opens up,offering to show tutorials about the program. You can find many different situations that you can use in your videos . It is very possible, that I ended up on the home page ,and this is where I saw the wedding tutorial. The wedding I am referring to shows several wedding pictures,it is possible I am watching not so much a movie, but many many pictures of this wedding.Several of the pictures have special effects. One, had bubbles that rise from the bottom of the picture, another picture had stars floating around the picture. You have giving me several tips already about getting around this progam, and I really appreciate it. Actually I print your answers for future references. You have giving me several in these 2 answers,,something for me to try and also experiment with. Thank you.. Magoo

Re: corel paint shop 2 & corel video studio X5
I can't find the tutorial but I did very quickly knock up a video using only VideoStudio X5 - no paint shop - the video needs some tweaking and refinement but is it the sort of thing you are trying to do - have a look.

Re: corel paint shop 2 & corel video studio X5
The piece of video in my post above was made using only VideoStudio X5 Pro Ultimate - and uses one of the free effects included with the Ultimate version.
The following piece of video - which is similar was made using a standard VideoStudio X5 - nothing else at all

Re: corel paint shop 2 & corel video studio X5
The second one does NOT need Ultimate - the stars can be any colour - including white if you prefer.
It was done using the 'Star' FX and customising it - but I did it quite quickly - more time would result in smoother and better defined movements..

Re: corel paint shop 2 & corel video studio X5
Hi Guys, after watching the videos, many many times,I am pleased with my improving skills with this program. I was not able to move pictures from photo shop to studio x5,but have found ways to change photos, within the program itself.. I have many childhood pictures of my niece and her soon to be husband. I have them set up the way I want them,There are in the timeline.I saved a copy of the folder, for back up..The one thing I have not done much practice with is the story book. My question or questions. Should I put in the wedding template now? Should I work on the wedding videos seperately, then add the childhood section. I am planning to put the childhood pictures in the front, beginning of the video. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. Again, many thanks for your suggestions and help, also I haven't seen much on chapters...Should I put in chapters,as I go or let the program do that when making the movie? When I put in chapters in and written word, does that show up in movie.? I am confused concerning chapters thanks again guys . Magoo
