Hello,
I have already used VS9 with no problem at all, capturing DV from my camcorder and then editing and creating movies. But since I have installed a webcam (Creative NX Pro), VS9 wants to capture video from it, and no longer from my camcorder. But it is still aware of the camcorder : in the DV Quickscan module, you can still drive the camcorder from within the software.
Anyone has any idea of what I could do ?
Thank you !
VS9 only shows the webcam as a source since I installed it

I think you may be looking at a similar problem I had. I have a hauppage TV card installed. The DV wizard as you state recognised my camcorder and allowed me to create a DVD importing the footage from the camcorder as mpeg's with the Dv quickscan mode.
However going to the normal capture screen the camcorder wasn't listed, only the TV card.
It took a while to work out the problem. If you check the "format" dropdown box you have various choices including DV, AVI, DVD etc.
If you now select either of the first two DV or AVI the camcorder now appears as an available device. Select anything else and it disappears again.
Try this, I think it may be the same problem you have.
