Now we have the Lab Curve plugin, I have resurrected my Bibble5 presets that worked with Thomas Baruchel's plugin
A couple of examples attached: play and enjoy --- tweak the curves on the histogram (particularly the red curve which represents L of Lab) to get the effect you want
Edit - working through old B5 files, changed the examples as these show a different effect from the examples in the Scontrast 0.4 thread
