Corecolormgr.dll event error and system desktop colours

Post by RoseW »

Installed Pspx4 this month on new machine built Aug15, Win7 professional, 8core 16Ram, 7200 black caviar drives, ATI Radeon 4700 drivers auto updated to current yhis week, (No special video settings)Monitor LG 27 wide, colormuni calibrated

Export an image from Lightroom 4.1 to be opened in PspX4 automatically for further edits
(I can resize and save as jpg with no colour change but do not do any editing)
The system colours change from the basic Aero windows blue sky to a strange color combo that isn't remotely in the shades of blue and white
This cannot be corrected in the display preferences. The machine has to be shut down then the system colours return.
This initially started while running a script in the middle of the past week that produces a border with a drop down shadow. I changed the border colour to a light yellow/green while in that script and that is the colour that goes through the whole system

The shortcut icons to PspX4 do not open the program when this dll has done its thing.

The event viewer has a report that the corecolormgr.dll has a fault

I have searched on this dll and found little information.
Is the repair for this too uninstall pspx4 and then reinstall?

Solved the color issue....
I did not have the monitor profile checked.
As soon as the Xrite Colormunki monitor profile had a check mark inserted everything returned to normal.

I don't recall if I did an edit in that color management preference box or if I had never checked it in the first place but there is a lot of 'after effect' when its NOT checked <GRIN>
