I need to uninstall and reinstall VideoStudio Pro X 2 because I'm freeing up space in Drive C:...
If I recall correctly from a previous re-install (after a system upgrade), since my VS Pro X 2 was an upgrade from an
earlier version of the program, I had to provide the Serial Number of that earlier version also--does that mean I actually
have to have the previous version INSTALLED on my system, or will just supplying the previous version's Serial Number
suffice?
Thanks in advance for any feedback!

Re: Reinstalling VideoStudio Pro - Question
I am pretty sure -- though not 100%
-- that all that was required was the serial number of the previous version. I think that started around VS 11 when Corel took over Ulead. Prior to that, the previous version had to be actually on the computer.

Re: Reinstalling VideoStudio Pro - Question
I perhaps didn't explain myself clearly. I am pretty sure that when you install X2, it only asks for the previous version's serial number. It does not look for that version to be actually installed on the computer.

Even if it's Ulead, not Corel?

Re: Reinstalling VideoStudio Pro - Question
Hi
If the previous version is installed, the upgrade software X2 will install by providing X2 serial number only.
If the previous version is Not installed then you have to provide both serial numbers, you will be prompted to do so during the installation of X2.
I am supprised that VS 6 qualified for an upgrade to X2?
-------------------------------
You may be able to save a little more space on your C:Drive.
If the X2 was a download then the "Installation" file and associated "Bonus" and "Content Pack" when run will extract files to a folder on the C:Drive--Program files--Corel
VS-Installation Files 172Mb
VS-Installation CP Files 424Mb
VS-Installation BCD Files 133Mb
These are used to install the program, after which are not used, available if you wish to install again.
X2 is the only version that does this, all other versions extract the files to a Temp folder, deleting them after installation.
