Using VS PX4 file type is MTS
Color correction feature-should the entire clip be corrected prior to inserting into time line as a project?
I'm using new cameras and trying to get it right.
I remember a tutorial some time age that addressed that-but I can't seem to locate it.
Thanks
Bill Regan

Re: Color Correction
Hi Bill
Colour correction is applied to individual clips after they are inserted to the timeline, and will affect the entire clip.

Re: Color Correction
So... when I insert the clips for the first time, I color correct before I start to edit.

Re: Color Correction
Hi Bill
You can colour correct at any time during editing, if you feel the original video requires the treatment then apply immediately after inserting to timeline.
Then during editing you will see the affects of colour correction and if it needs tweaking you can do so.
The effect is added to clips even after cutting with the scissors.
To be honest I haven’t found a reason to use this on my camcorders video clips.

Re: Color Correction
I just started using digital cameras Canon XA10. Switched from tape. i find that the auto setting doesn't give the correct exposure. I'm still playing with it, so the color correction covers it.
Thanks again,
Bill
