It say:

What are your system spec's? How do you connect the cam to the PC? Which capture plug in do you use? Have you updated your VS 7 with the update patches?
Why on earth do you want to burn a VCD? The quality of that, at best, is crap. Do you only have a CD burner? Which play back device is going to be used PC or DVD player?

To heinz-oz,
I'm using window xp.I'm connecting the cam corder using the fire cable that come with ulead video studio 7.No,i did not update the ulead video studio 7 patches.I wanted to burn it into vcd inorder to play in VCD player.
To Ken Berry,
I believe that the PC did detech the cam corder when i connect it through the fire wire that come with ulead video 7 package. As i did mentioned earlier before is that under the preview window (ulead video studio 7),the play and pause button can be control from the PC to control the play and pause on the cam corder.

I am a little confused. You say you have a firewire cable which came with VS 7... This sounds unusual. I assume VS7 came bundled with some hardware, but it sounds strange that the hardware might have been a firewire cable. If it really is a firewire cable, it should, with a Canon video camera, have a small 4 pin plug which goes into the camera and a larger 6 pin plug at the other end which goes into the computer. Is this what you have?
I am asking, because the MV6i MC camera also has a USB plug for still images. And the camera bundle comes with an S-video cable, a stereo audio cable and a composite RCA/stereo cable. The camera does NOT come with either a firewire cable or a USB cable (unless the store where you bought the camera added them).
I suspect you may have the camera connected by a USB cable. The program would realise something is there, but it might not be able to do anything with it.
Can you please confirm that you are connected via Firewire and not USB.
