PSP X4 Local Help

Post by mutex7 »

On the Corel website there is a file you can download called Corel_PSPX4_LocalHelp.exe but Coral support tells me that this file isn't used to install local help and in fact only online help exists for this product. Is this really the case or was I given incorrect information?

I downloaded the 'LocalHelp file and tried to install it but I get a message that my software is already updated. It sure would be nice to have local help on my hard drive.

Thanks for any info anyone can offer.

Well it's true that I've never met anyone who could install that particular download so I have no idea what it's for.

Luckily PSPX4 does, or should, have the help files in HTML format installed on your computer. If your computer is offline it should open up Internet Explorer to run the help files with. When you are connected to the internet it should open up the default browser to the online URL.

If you're offline and it doesn't open up the local help files you can access them yourself from the Paint Shop Pro Program folder.
The actual location has been listed here before let me go search for it.....

Here you go

C:\Program Files (x86)\Corel\Corel PaintShop Pro X4\Languages\EN\Help\wwhelp\wwhimpl\js\html

Thanks for the response. I found the help file you referred to and put a shortcut to it on my desktop. They sure did bury it.
