Same again please, 64bit goodness all the way. Any GPU enhancement would also be a welcome addition.

With PaintShop Pro still in the 32-bit dark ages I can't process some of my really large files. PaintShop Pro is a great program, it's just very outdated as it still cannot utilize the memory capabilities, or speed, of true 64-bit systems. It's really past time to update PaintShop Pro to be native 64-bit.
Thank you!!!!!!!!!!

Should have been a 64 bit option a few versions ago.
Add a true highlight recovery feature to the camera raw import function. What PSP does now is apply the highlight recovery math to the entire tonal range, essentially degrading the entire image to recover a few highlights. What highlight recovery typically does is apply the math only to a specified part of the tonal range at the highlight end.
RAW conversion...It would be nice to have more control during conversion and not have to use the camera manufacturer's software. Used to use Raw Shooter Essentials till that went deep 6. Recently tried Raw Therapee and was very pleasantly surprised with the amount of control...almost too much control. But after trying other free options...AbleRAWer and Scarab Darkroom...I went right back to RT. So that's an area that I'd like to see some work...and I imagine others would too.
The ability to create and save files as *.ico
These are Windows Icon files, which can be used as Shortcut Labels.
The Paintshop and Videostudio shortcut icons are very similar, and use the same colors and textures.
With Dynamic Desktop Backgrounds like Bing popular now, its nice to have Shortcut Icons that really stand-out from the desktop background.
Adding functionality that would allow creation of icons for Android, Windows Phone, Blackberry, etc., and make this more in demand by developers too.
Some more tips to *improve* PaintShop Pro X6(X5?):
1. PSP X5: Customize Script - icon assignment is very limited. Only few and similar icons are there... CAN'T set my own PNG image or *icon* already embeded in PSP
2. PSP X5: Edit Scripts does not allow assign my own default editor
3. PSP X5: Layer Properties already shows some numeric values for slides and so on. BUT I miss color as HEX value (to read and set) and if possible simple (nice) color dialog ...or has been forgotten?
LeviFiction wrote:You can set your own editor inside of PSP. I use Notepad++ for editing scripts and I have PSP open that editor for me.
Under File -> Preferences -> File Locations
LeviFiction wrote:Not that this matters, but it should be in the Restricted scripts folder. There's no need for it to be trusted.
Yes, I have it in my installation of X5.
Please could you post it? Thanks

NATIVE, 64 bit, use of GPU to accelerate processing.
Yes! 64 bit operating systems are now mainstream, and every day that goes by more and more people switch to them. A big, complex program like PSP would hugely benefit speedwise by being ported over to 64 bits.
Zooming follows mousepointer (or was this already solved in X5?).
64 bit
More room between rightclick 'paste As New Image' and 'Empty Clipboard' (i'm just no good with keyboard shortcuts).
Locking toolbars and pallets.
Large file, it's crazy that i can open files and work on them in free programs but not in PSPX4.

You can customized that context menu and move "Empty Clipboard" anywhere you like in the menu. Click on the options below while in Customize mode. That context menu will pop up when you select "Main". Now you can drag the items wherever you like within the menu.
