New version of VideoStudio in the next couple months?

It seems like new versions of VideoStudio show up in November... at least that's what my two remaining brain cells remember. How likely is that to happen again this year?

I've been using VS Pro x4, which generally works well and is stable. I did not get x5, as there didn't seem to be much benefit for the kinds of videos I make. (I don't burn DVDs or Blu-ray disks, for example.) However, I'm getting the itch to work with AVCHD files at 24 Mbps and I'd love to see improvements in titling, effects, adjustments, encoding and lots of other things. I'm hoping that x6 may have at least some of the improvements I want.

Here's a sample of the sort of video I've been doing lately: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ihnrTtRiq9o. I plan to get better equipment and improve the quality of this work, hopefully getting some paying gigs for both concert and commercial videos.

So what's the chance that x6 will be released before the end of the year?

unfortunately your brain cells are not telling you the truth - VS X5 was released in March 2012 and X4 in February 2011 - so on that basis I do not think there will be another version until well after the start of the new year.

I have to agree with Brian. Moreover, no one has even mentioned starting the Beta process for X6 to us as yet...
