JOINING VIDEO CLIPS IN MF4

When I join two or more video clips in MF4, the result is sometimes that only the first part of the joined clip actually plays. Has anybody else had this problem? It seems to be worse when I apply transitions.
Grateful for any suggestions.

what are the properties of your video files? right click on them and select "media properties"

Hello; thanks for responding. The video clips are Quick Time Movie Files (taken with our digital camera, not a video camera). The video compression is Photo-JPEG, and the suffix on the files is .mov
