Hi,
Just reinstalled my system onto a new 80Gb drive and did clean install of Win XP Pro & SP2 and all my normal applications.
PhotoImpact was installed early in the process. It started fine at first but after installing my other software (quit a lot - Apache, MySQL, Tomcat and manyothers) I found that the program will not load. It is included in the process list of Task Manager and I can end the process but there are no windows or display. No error messages.
I ran in Safe Mode and PhotoImpact loads OK.
How can I work out which process is causing this problem?
Regards
Anthony.
Will not load...

It would seem that installing your older software over, and after PI, that you have lost a critical file, having been overwritten by a older or newer version, or a Registry entry has become corrupted.
You could spend days or weeks trying to use your Administrative Tools, and shutting down one process after another to find the difficulty, only to realize you would probably have to reinstall the Ulead software anyway.
Save yourself some time and uninstall Ulead, delete the two Ulead System Folders; found in the User Profile, under you name, and in the Program Files Folder. Turn off your Anti-virus protection, and other programs in the background. To be really safe and make sure you get a new and clean install, drop down into Safe Mode and Install Ulead
