VideoStudio Pro X4 will not install

Post by Dikybird »

I cannot install Pro x4 fully paid DVD, previously I installed PaintShop Pro X4 no problem.

I have a new Acer with Win 7 64bit

As I have read before I get

Error, then "An error has occurred to the script on this page:
Line: 138
Char: 2
Error: Unspecified error
Code: 0
Url: file:///D:/Lang/EN/Custom/js/Progress.js
Do you want to continue running scripts on this page?

If I click no, it just hangs. If I click yes, a new popup screen comes up saying the same thing except Line: 179, Char: 5, URL: file;///D:/Lang/EN/Custom/js/Tabs.js

Tried downloading same problem I have Java installed so frustrating and time wasting

Thank you for any help

I'm running a similar system only with a AMD chip.

I cannot get the program to complete its startup phase. The functionality window opens, ready to use, but then I get some undecipherable computer language and asks me to send same to Corel "geeks" for analysis. I've done this at least three times now and I get the same lame, unusable automatic answer ... none of the Windows Fixes have helped to correct this frustrating problem. I have used two other programs, previous generations to this one, and they worked right out to the box.
I recently bought Adobe's Elements 10 with their video editing program so, I think I'll do an un-install and put that program up and get things done. I've screwed around with this program for nearly three weeks, when I can, and it is too frustrating to hold things up any longer.

Dikybird: Sorry I can't offer any help. This is the first time I have seen, in my eight years or more on this Board, a problem associated with a Java script...

highplainsrider: the only thing I can suggest is that you try establishing a new user profile on the computer, and install VS using that profile. If that works, you can then delete the new profile.

You may want to visit -- http://support.microsoft.com/kb/183808 -- and according to that page the problem occur if any of your hypertext template (.htt) files are damaged.
