Hello
I'm currently using the trial version of DVD Workshop and seriously considering buying it, largely due to the ability to have multiple audio and subtitle tracks.
However, when I assign audio and subtitle tracks to a button, I get an apx 10-15 second delay when that button is selected. I've seen posts on the old board that mentioned this problem, but no real solutions. If this is "best possible" then I'm off to find another program - but if anyone has a solution for this, I'd really appreciate it.
DVDWS2 is a great program in so many ways, I'd hate for this to be the reason I take my business elsewhere.
Help!!!
Thanks!
Long delay when assigning audio and/or sub tracks to buttons

When does the button delay happen? In the Preview stage, or in the burned DVD?
If it's the burned DVD, will it happen when you put it to another DVD player?
There are some important fixes for DVD WorkShop in http://www.ulead.com/tech/dws/dws_ftp.htm , maybe you can check it out.
Hope this helps.

At the preview stage everything functions perfectly - it's happens on the burned DVD.
When I had the button's playlist consist of: (1st) assigning the audio and sub tracks, and (2nd) a return to menu command, it happened on my JVC and SONY DVD players.
I experimented by inserting a miniscule piece of video in the playlist between the 1st and 2nd items, and this fixed it on my JVC but it still occurred on my SONY player. (I'd rather not have the piece of video in the playlist - I want users to be able to continue to make menu choices before watching the feature.)
At this point I've only burned it on DVD+RW's (I've tried two different brands), maybe I'll try using a DVD+R and a DVD-R and see what happens.
I am using the trial version, which I doubt I'll be able to patch.
Any other ideas?
Thanks for the input.
P.S. Hopefully being able to assign "subtitles - OFF" will be added in a future patch/version of DVDWS! (How could they not have thought of this?)

Check http://www.videohelp.com/dvdplayers and http://www.videohelp.com/dvdwriters to know if your media is compatible with the player and the burner.
Although your DVDWS version is an trial, I think the Ulead Burning Engine Patch and the Ulead 16X Burning Engine Pack should be able to be installed in your system. They will fix some burning problems and improve the burning quality and compatibility.
But you will still have the 30 days trial period in DVDWS until you buy it.
Hope this helps.
