So, Paint Shop Pro X5...
"Paint Brush - choose from a variety of built-in brushes or import Adobe® Photoshop® brushes"
How? Where? What exactly does this mean?
Thanks.

Re: Adobe abr brushes? (PSP X5)
It means that you can use adobe PS brushes (*.abr) in PSP X5 via the File > Import > Custom Brush option. If you have adobe PS brushes and want to try this out, you can download the trial -- http://pnoy.me/coreltrials -- then follow these steps to import the brushes.
To import a custom brush
In Edit workspace
1. Choose File > Import > Custom Brush. The Import Custom Brush dialog box appears.
2. Click Open.
3. In the Open dialog box, navigate to the brush file that you want to import, and click Open.
4. In the Import Custom Brush dialog box, select the custom brushes that you want to import, and click Add. If you want to import multiple brushes, click Add All.
5. Click OK to import the custom brushes.

Re: Adobe abr brushes? (PSP X5)
But that is not really abr support so much as converting an abr to a png. Yes?
Even the new comparison chart found here http://www.corel.com/content/pspx5/en/P ... _FINAL.pdf
shows that PSP X5 has abr support in the brush tool.
"Enhanced! Paint Brush – Added support for Photoshop brushes (.abr format)"
I would say abr support is a bit of an overstatement... That is disappointing
abr conversion would be a bit more accurate and honest. This isn't politics, the facts can't be sorted out later
That said, is there a way to make the outline of these newly imported brushes to show? In general preferences I have brush outlines selected already but all I get is the little paintbrush tool icon. I've tried with various imported brushes but can't get the outline.
Thanks,
Scott

Re: Adobe abr brushes? (PSP X5)
I've tried two free Photoshop brush downloads and they all show their outlines in X5 for me. Maybe you've got the brush size set so large that it's going off the screen. If you set your cursor to Precise Cursors you'll get rid of that little paintbrush but that has no affect on the brush outlines. You should see them either way.muddpuddle wrote:
