NewBlue Film Look Plugin - Invalid parameter 15032:1:18

Post by firstkickatthecat »

Hi everyone,

I got in on the big sale that NewBlue was having and I purchased the Film Effects pack (finally!). Everything is installed and registered.

There are actually 5 individual effects that you get with the Film Effects, they are:

Film Camera
Film Damage
Film Express
Film Look
Film Pro

I can successfully add each of these to a clip in my timeline and then modify the attributes, except one.

The Film Look plugin give me the error:

Corel Video Studio Pro
Invalid parameter
[15032:1:18]

It is a Corel error dialog, not a NewBlue error dialog. Only the Film Look plugin give me the error, the other 4 work just fine.

I have fully purchased and legally registered Corel Video Studio Pro and NewBlue Film Effects running on Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.

Any ideas?

This won't answer your question since, while I have various of the NewBlue packs (including Video Essentials I through to IV), I don't have Film Effects. You might might lucky and find someone here who also has that package. But a number of us with other NewBlue packs who had trouble with aspects of them have found we got a far more helpful response from NewBlue tech support than from Corel -- even though as you say, the error msg in this case is a Corel one. So you might want to give them a go if no one can answer your specific question here.

If the problem is with the Film Look plugin only, it could be that the plugin was not properly integrated with Corel that is why you are getting that error message. Since you bought the full version from Newblue, just like what Ken mention, you may want to contact them and see if this is a problem with the plugin.

You can contact them via their help ticket system at http://www.newbluefx.com/help-ticket-system.html or at http://www.newbluefx.com/contact-us.html
