Fast Video In Previews for clips Videostudio X5

Post by Howarda401 »

I have installed Videosudio Pro X5 yesterday and I've encountered a really strange problem.

When I select the movie itself and view it in the preview window it looks fine.
However if I select any individual clip in the library or timeline the preview plays through at high speed. It will play through a 40 second video in less then 2 seconds.
Here's where it gets really weird. If I go into options and change the volume from 100 to 101 it will play at normal speed.

It's annoying have to do this everytime I want to play a clip. Has anyone else encountered this problem, or has a suggestion on a more permanent solution to my problem.

Thanks.

I have exactly the same problem and also discovered that when you select the auto white balance then it will react the same as when you change speed to 101 in options.
What I am also experiencing is that when played as a project, the video focus becomes soft as opposed to clear defined focus when played as a clip.
The video format is AVCHD from a Sony NEX - VG10 Camera.
The strangest thing is, when this same footage is played in Sony Movie Studio 12 and Avid Studio then it plays perfect.

You may want to download the update -- http://www.corel.com/corel/pages/index. ... id=4700015 and see if that addresses the problem.
