Reactivating/installing Animator - Forgotten where and how.

Post by David_S »

I used GIF animator several motherboard/OS's ago and now need to run it again but can't recall which Ulead program it wa bundled with or how to install it.

I have on disc or backup HD various Ulead programs including
  • Videostudio 7
    Mediastudio Pro 7 a & 8
    Videographics Lab 1.0
    Photoimpact 5, X and 12
    DVD MovieFactory in various flavours
So where do I find Animator and how do I install it? I will probably have to run it under XP mode but MediaStudio Pro seems to run fine in this mode.
Thanks for any pointers.

GIF Animator 5 comes with PhotoImpact, and should install along with PhotoImpact. It was included in my XL and 12 versions.

Thanks Viking.

Once I knew where to look I found the pdf manual and the installation file ga_e.exe and also the gif collection installer gac1_pe.exe

Seemed to install Ok - now to see if it runs OK under Windows 7 64bit.

From what I've heard from one other person, Win 7 64-bit doesn't play nice with GA 5. Hopefully you'll have better luck! If not, I've no idea how to fix it. Still using XP here.

Thanks for that Brian. Have updated my email address. Not a regular visitor here any more since Mediastudio became an orphan.
