Installation issue - pc freeze during install

As recommended by BrianCee, see below the issue I am facing when installing Painteshop pro X4:

I have windows 7 64 bits installed on my PC
Just purchased PSP X4, based on good experience with the X2 version
When I try to install it, the screen freezes when the installation process starts (the black install windows right after the install files are unziped).
No error message, the mouse pointer does not move any longer, keyboard does not respond. The only option is to restart the system.

I tried dozen of times, very same problem at the very same time.

Help would be appreciated. Many thanks.

Might be a bad zip file. Maybe try using 7zip http://www.7-zip.org/

No. I use the .exe install file from Corel. I downloaded several time. No change.

One of the more common possible solutions to this problem seems to be to set up a new user profile in Windows, and install while using that profile. Then if installation is successful, you can delete the new profile and PSP should still work.

as suspected, no change. The problem remains exactly the same when attempting PSP X4 install with newly created admin user.

You may want to follow these steps.
disable UAC (User Account Control) -- http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/wind ... -on-or-off
turn off firewall and other security software -- http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/wind ... -on-or-off

Then redownload the installer to your desktop inside a new folder. From there run the installation file as an ADMIN.
