Re: Text controls
Click on the large 'T' at the right side of the preview window - then double click in the preview window as instructed
If you want to modify one of the supplied titles put it in the title track and select it. double clicking on the text in the preview panel will allow editing of the text.
The Options panel should open but if it doesn't there is a button above the very right hand end of the timeline.
then you should have access to all text controls as shown below. once the text is selected the arrow keys can be used to set position.

Re: Text controls
thanx Brian now i have another problem.
Currently I am practicing the lessons on Borris Graffiti and I have a few problems. I am on lesson 3.
I place my footage on the timeline and add the Borris FX effect. At this point I see that there are 2 Borris FX effect buttons, I only have 1, why is this?
Next problem. After I double-click the ‘customise filter’ I run into a problem, my screen does not look like the screen in the lesson. I have the two separate windows, the text window looks like the same the one in the lesson but the ‘control: text’ screen is different. This window has the heading ‘Borris Graffiti – 100’ and looks nothing like the example. For a start the picture I placed on the timeline does not show in any of the 2 windows. I’m afraid that the best way to describe it.
What am I doing wrong?

Re: Text controls
I'll have to pass on that I'm afraid - I have never even tried to use the Borris Graffiti effects.
I am sure someone else who can help you will be along soon though.

I know that you believe you understand what you think I said,
