Hello Everyone,
My terminology might be a bit off, so please let me know if I'm using the wrong term for something. My question is, does Videostudio X5 have the capabilities to either:
A) Batch convert while using one or more of the FX
B) Export multiple clips in one go from the timeline?
I have 120+ short video clips that I need to crop to a different size. I've figured out how to crop them to the size I need by using the "Croping" function in the FX. There seems to be no way however to apply this to all the clips at once in the Batch Convert.
The only way I can do it is to import all of the individual clips to the timeline and then export them individually...one at a time....taking a lot of my time. I notice they all retain their same file names in the timeline. Isn't there a way I can select all of them at once and export them with their individual file names all in one go (with any FX I've added)?
Some of the audio programs I work with can do this. So I figure I must be missing something here.
Thanks for the help!
Glenn

Can I safely assume that it's currently impossible to do these in VS?
Thanks,

Re: Batch Convert w/FX or Export Multiple Clips from Timelin
Hi Glenn
sorry your post has gone unanswered...........
"Can I safely assume that it's currently impossible to do these in VS?" Yes
Batch convert works with both video files and VSP files.
By adding a filter to a clip you are working with a project file, you can add this project to the batch convert and indeed create a new video file, however you would have to make individual projects one for each clip.
Just as easy to render from the timeline.
Just one thought............you may be able to add clips to the timeline apply the filters.
Rendering the project to DVD would create a Mpeg2.
This could be added to the timeline and Split By Scene applied which may separate the video into its original parts.
But to create individual video files I am afraid not.
Click each clip in turn and choose File - Save Trimmed Video
Saves to the working folder.
