Hi,
can you change the Protocol in the Cam PTP or something. It should work with a normal Card Reader.

Ubuntu sees the CF card fine. Aftershot cant seem to find the card. Shouldn't it just find it and ask you if you want to download it like Lightrrom.

USB.
When I plug my D300 in. Ubuntu asks me what I want to open it with. I choose Aftershot......and aftershot opens but nothing gets imported. Then When I try to mannually choode the folder to open in this case my CF card on the camers Im not given that option in the directory within Aftershot. Its as if the camers's not there.

That is the connection, not the mount point.lidiving wrote:USB.
Where in the file system does Ubuntu show you the cam?
From your description it sounds like the cam uses some silly mode (PTP) instead of mass storage that is only available via some specific drivers.
Set it to Mass Storage mode. See page 319 of the manual (English PDF).
If the cam is not visible in the file system, AS will not see it. To make it visible in the file system, Mass Storage Mode is needed.

Well, if you have mass storage mode active, there should be a mount point in the file system...
