has anyone also taken video clips with that camera? It uses mpg4 ACE (which is not a codec known to VideoStudio) and my PC tells me that the clips come at 30.05 fps.
What can I do now? And does anybody know, why the clips aren't 29.97 fps?
29.97 fps is a TV standard used for NTSC video, 25 fps being the Pal equivalent.
A frame rate of 30 would be used for internet video, neither Pal or Ntsc.
I do not know why your video does not use 30 but 30.05 fps, unless there is a setting in the cameras menu?
What you decide to make will reflect what frame rate you use, if you are intending to burn a DVD then you would normally use 25 fps, being in Germany I guess you would normally use Pal.
However creating a Ntsc dvd may give better quality.
If you are simply playing on the pc or the internet then use 30fps.
Right click a clip in the timeline and select properties to view the videos properties.
