Burn Problem

Post by paulette28 »

Anyone else here having burn a burn problem? I have finally put together a 30 min mixed media project but have not been able to complete a burn. I get up to 98% and then get an error message stating that it "Failed in performing power calibration DVD+R+SPTI-2A-02-03-73-03" I followed all of the suggestions on the "stickey" but with no luck.

I have been able to burn projects successfully in a high end video edit program I have so my system is not the problem. I want to be able to use VS9 because it lets me import directly vob files from my DVD camcorder-something the other software doesn't allow.

Is it possible that I am getting some conflict because of my other video editing software?

I hope that someone has an answer because I really enjoy working with VS9 and think that this program will be the answer to all of the folks out there with DVD camcorders looking for a good editing program.

One of the reasons for the Power Clibration error is that the burning module in UVS does not like the MAKE or type of your blank DVDs - what are you using and have you tried a different make.?

Thanks for the quick response.

Oh I hope that's the answer! Can't wait to find out.

I used a new brand ( HP) for the first time. Great sale on them last week. The brand that I have used successfully in the past has been Maxell. Can't wait to try it now with the Maxell. Thought that any " name" brand would be comparable in quality.
