Hello, I am using version X4, which I am new to, having bought it just a week ago.
I have approximately 70 jpg images I'd like to add borders to. All of the images will have the same color and thickness.
Is it possible to create some sort of batch process that automatically adds borders to all 70 images? Right now, I've been adding borders one-by-one to the images. It got tedious after the first dozen.
If there is a way to automate the procedure? If so, what must I do? If it's possible, will all 70 images be re-saved automatically, as well?
Thank you for your assistance. J. Danniel

Re: Can I Automate Adding Borders to 70 Images?
I think I figured it out.
I open an image, and start recording a script.
I then go into Add Borders, add a border to the image, and save it. I then select Close. Then, I save the script. I name the script AddBorders.
Once the script is recorded, I go into Batch Process. I select Use Script, and then locate the AddBorders script.
I then go into Browse and select the files I want to add borders to. I run the script, and voila. I tried this with four test images. Next, I'm going to copy the 70 images into a new folder, and select them. I'll run the script and see if the copies of the images have borders. If they all look good, then I'll run the script on the original images, and hopefully that will work. Let's hope it does.

Congratulations on finding the power of scripts and explaining it so well for others.
After this you will quickly make a script for any or most repetitive actions you have to do for a number of images.
If there is some slight variations you can run the script in non silent mode (toggle execution mode button) and make slight variations as required.
