Is there somebody that knows how to make the printer profiles made by the COLOR MUNKI PHOTO work in PSPX4?
I have tried a lot of different settings in the Color Management of PSP X4, in the Color Management of Windows (Win 7), and in the Printer Driver (Epson Stylus NX300), all with no success.
I also have problems when trying to SOFT PROOF these profiles in PSPX4: what I get is an unusable image covered with a deep fog, an image that is far from what is printed.
And I know these printer profiles are good because they work correctly in Photoshop Elements 10.

Re: Printer profiles made by COLOR MUNKI PHOTO
I use the Xrite Colormunki on Win7 professional 64bit and have been using it since Mar 2012 (monitor and print profile)
In the monitor/color management setup within Windows there is a section to indicate that the system will use the profile that is listed.
Then in any software do not use the color management within the software.
I went to QImage for printing facilities. There is an older version(no longer being developed) and currently it is QImage Ultimate. This software immediately picks up the system profile (including the print profile constructed and saved) Perhaps because its a print specialized software gives it the opportunity to be superior both in soft proofing and in print output.
Even Adobe Lightroom does a poor job of 'soft proofing'.
I've concluded that depending on 'soft proofing' in other software is not a useful exercise.
I have no color management features turned on in Psp other than deignating that the image to be in the Adobe RGB space
My input doesn't give a solution to your Psp use -other than turning off color management....and possibly considering QImage<grin>

Re: Printer profiles made by COLOR MUNKI PHOTO
I just finished installing PspX4.
I went to the color management section in Pspx4 and the drop down selection had my monitor colormunki profile listed.
Didn't notice any specific difference . I suspect its because the profile is set to be a system used item.
Perhaps when you print you have to go into this preference section and bring up your colormunki print profile to use while printing in Psp.

Re: Printer profiles made by COLOR MUNKI PHOTO
The problem is not with the monitor profiles made by the COLOR MUNKI PHOTO; it is only with the printer profiles.
In fact, I'am seriously beginning to think that PSP X4 simply does not support correctly ANY printer profile, be it made by the COLOR MUNKI PHOTO, or by any other.
OK, one is put to think that this support is given because of the choices offered in the Color Management Window of the program, something is effectively printed, but it is not done as it should be as per the profiles choosen.
And again, I know that the printer profiles made by my COLOR MUNKI PHOTO are good because they are properly managed by other programs like Photoshop Elements 10 or Windows Photo Viewer, for example.
Sure, I would like to be able to use this feature in PSP X4, but if it is not working, I would like to know it for sure once and for all, to stop loosing my time to try to make it work.
And this is the same thing with the SOFT PROOFING feature offered in PSP X4. Is it working or not?
