Can someone please confirm ANY facts about the rumors of ASP's demise?
I see a number of threads on this subject.
But I see no facts.
Speculation, rumor, fantasy or what?
Where's the evidence other than Corel's silence?
Regards

Re: Rumors
Facts:
The Austin crew was fired. (check their employment status in the online media or try to call the Austin office: 512-345-3480 or contact them directly, they are not that hard to find, for example on G+.
Try to send mail to their Corel addresses...
The rest is the logical consequence...
cheers

The program is not dead - my copy still works. But plan ahead if you are thinking of buying a new camera. Any of you who have bought one recently that isn't supported ... sorry. Esp for D800E owners.

Re: Rumors
OK so the Austin crew were 'fired'. Doesn't sound good but just maybe Corel has other plans. I hope so cos I hate to think about moving to Adobe. Which would mean a move away from PSPx4 as well to CS6. Not a smart move by Corel. Maybe there is a silver lining somewhere.
My work is now at a level where I can't afford instability with software. Clients can't wait while I relearn something.
Then again I'll wait until I need an upgrade to see. By then the dust will have settled and the 'truth' will be there for all to see.

Re: Rumors
I think, they will kill ASP, starting with Linux version.
Their previous "achievements":
-- Corel Ventura
-- WordPerfect (Linux version)
-- PaintShop Pro
... Some other ones
That's sad, but it is their way to do business, helping M$ to kill each promising and innovating piece of software.

Re: Rumors
Why another thread about this? There are no facts about the ASP future. That the old crew doesn't work anymore on ASP means nothing. It could be getting worse but it also could be getting better. The D800E bug is courious, but the old team also didn't fix lots of bugs.

My view too.
