Unable to Capture File Because it is Copywrite Protected

Post by lawprelim »

Hi.
I have a windows 7, 64 bit quad core with 8 Gigs of ram, and 500 gigs of hard drive. I'm using the latest Video Studio Pro x5. After some time, and not always at the same time, it stops capturing, and says "unable to capture video because it is copywrite protected". It's not copywrite protected, and I cannot figure out how to get it to stop doing that. Can anyone help? I'm capturing an old VHS tape using an EasyCap (the one that is new, and works). Apparently there are some old Easycaps that do not work. Thanks in advance.

Hi

You are correct that there have been some fake Ezcap products.
There is a post at the top of the forum, maybe worth a read.

Ezcap came bundled with Arcsoft ShowBiz DVD software which captures quite well, have you tried using that.
I believe there is a different driver for 64 bit systems?
