Hi,
Basically, I want to use part/pieces of several project files already created, i.e. to combine the chosen sections into one new project file.
Have looked in the Manual and cannot locate the answer! Any guidance would be appreciated - otherwise I am going to have to do it the very long way round! Am sure someone out there will have the solution. I am now using Prox5.
Cheers,
Viddynick (Nick)

Re: Capturing clips from project files
I have moved your post to the Video Studio forum as it is likely to get more responses there.
For myself, I cannot think of any smart way of doing what you want i.e. I think the long way may be the only way i.e. opening each project in turn and extracting what you want from each; or else rendering each project into a video file and then extracting the bits you want. But hopefully someone out there might have a better idea.

Ken
Cheers for moving my post to a more appropriate category - sorry I did not think of this before I posted. Thanks for your response - I will wait a bit to see if anyone comes up with anything
but what you speak of, is what I had in mind to do. Just thought I would check it all out first.
Thanks for your help.

Re: Capturing clips from project files
It looks like what you need to do involves trimming then saving then combining together the trimmed clips. What you can do is to use the trim feature to extract the pieces that you want from the video then save that extracted clips to your library. You can do this until you have all the pieces of that you need then just retrieve the pieces from the library and put them together to create the video that contains the different extracted videos.
Here are some reference that you can visit:
Trimming a clip - http://product.corel.com/help/video/540 ... clips.html
Library - http://product.corel.com/help/video/540 ... rarya.html
This just a rough solution that you can take but I know there's someone out there with a better one.

Hi Nick
Using the Project Playback Range you can select a section of the project, then render that section to a new video file, add these to another project.
is that the type of thing you were trying to do.
