There are just a few negative posters and what I like about both bibble and this web site you can block them. It seems strange that everyone I've blocked which are just a few are the same on both web sites.
Thanks.

+1 Me too. The few I've blocked are more than just negative, as negative can also be constructive, they are destructive and only post to denigrate the product. I choose not to read these posts, and it would help those of us who have blocked them if others could refrain from quoting their posts.dFlyer wrote:There are just a few negative posters and what I like about both bibble and this web site you can block them. It is hard to tell by reading forums how many are negative and how many are positive. It is true that people who are positive won’t be that vocal simply due to the fact that they are happy and don’t need any form of support.
As a potential buyer of a product, I want to make sure I make the right decision. One of the important factors for deciding is of course the fact that I like or dislike a product. In this regards, all is well with Aftershot Pro because I do like it. But another important factor in the decision making process is the quality of support of a product. Of course one can always switch over to another product but everyone understands the inconveniences around that. What worries me is that the few people who did post some negative feedback make valid points. I don’t want to invest in a product that lacks support or has very poor support (even when the product is cheap as ASP).
So far, I came up with this list:
Pros:
• ASP is lightweight and fast
• ASP has most features that more expensive products have (even has features that more expensive products lack)
• ASP does not require you to catalog before editing (although I like the cataloging part too)
• ASP runs on Windows XP
• The UI in quit intuitive. It feels like the learning curve will be short
• ASP does what I need (for now – I’m a beginner with digital photography / have been using film up to now...)
Cons:
• Not fast with updates / bug fixes
• Lack of video tutorials on the product. Did find a few but not a lot. Adobe does a much better job in this regards.
I need to try and understand whether Corel is serious about ASP or not. I haven’t noticed any Corel employees posting here either (or I missed them). So in summary it looks good for ASP but I need to get a better understanding about how serious Corel is in regards to this product.

Assess the product and buy it if you like it.
There are always people who want more, demand more and are unrealistic but things so just read and be aware.
LR is twice the price of ASP so it represents a saving. I appreciate that the learning curve is still an issue as this is a time sink for any new piece of software.
I have LR, Capture Pro and ASP and prefer ASP due to its speed and ease of use.
IMHO LR is much to simplified but with loads of hidden complexity that I cant be bothered to understand or learn. It is better presented in ASP and Capture Pro.

Still learning after all these years!

Re: Where's The Next Version? What's In It?
I'm a happy ASP user.
Then I don't make very high demands of it either.
I just wonder what we would read if we went and looked at one of the Adobe forums. Would it be all wine and roses? Or would they also have the same folks asking the same questions?
BUT having said that Corel needs to communicate from time to time. Just a small handful of disenchanted users can do a lot of damage.
Then what would I know? I'm just a user.
