Opening tubes in X3

Post by MarjV »

I had to reinstall my win7.
And my X3.

Now when I right click on a downloaded tube in it's file the tube won't open in X3.
I can only open it from within the workspace.

This was one of the ways I got tubes open.
Any ideas how I can set a preference somewhere so that I can use it this way again?

You can either move the file to the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Corel\Corel PaintShop Photo Pro\X3\PSPClassic\Corel_10" folder or you can add the "C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\My PSP Files\Picture Tubes" folder via FILE > PREFERENCES > FILE LOCATIONS > PICTURE TUBES. Then click on the ADD button that you see on the right side of the FILE LOCATIONS screen.

Marj, when you say "tubes" here, people think Paint Shop Pro picture tubes with a .psptube file extension. From what I can see of your image, it appears to be either a layered .pspimage file or a layered .psd file because I think I see a copyright layer on top of the image. Those don't go in your picture tube folder.

If you can open it from within X3 but not from the folder, then this particular file type (we can't see what that is because Windows hides file extensions.) is not associated with Paint Shop Pro in Windows. Try right-clicking on the file and pick Choose Default Program from the "open with" menu. Then you should be able to tell Windows to always use X3. If this doesn't work, you will have to unhide the file extension so we know what kind of image we are working with.
