They are capture drivers for specific hardware from two of Ulead's partners -- unless you have a Hauppauge or Terratec capture device, there is no point in downloading these patches.
Ok, Thank you. I had just noticed them while trying to find a possible link or ftp for UVS8 extra content. I keep getting a corrupt file error while trying to install.

Are you saying you are trying to auto install the 'Extra Content'
A far as I know the Extra Content for VS 8 is a Copy and Paste procedure.
At least for the Menu files
The Video/Images samples etc can be inserted / linked to the library.
Yes the "Extra Content CD" about 300mb worth. I found the link to it on Ulead's website and have d/l'd it. However I'm not installing it yet. My system got messed up last month when I tried to install M$'s 8 patches they released. My system went tilt, into a cyclic boot. I tried to do a system recovery, and finally took my computer into the shop. Got it back with the OS reinstalled and was given an "SP2" disk. Well that didn't go well either the disk showed corrupt and once again tried to rebuild. Then I purchased the recovery discs from HP and tried it. I keep getting errors when trying to recover. So one more time I think I'll let the shop have a go at getting it back right...
