DVD Preview Aborting
Recently purchased Corel X5. I really like the editor and find it intuitive, fast, and stable, but the program that creates DVDs is giving me fits with a long list of issues. One of the main issue I have is that when I go to preview a DVD, more than half of the time the program immediately aborts and kicks me entirely out of Corel. I end up having to re-start Corel, go back into the DVD creation portion, and try again. Eventually, the preview works. If I don't close the DVD program and then save the project in the editor before running the preview and it aborts, I lose my changes, so I have to constantly go back to the editor and save my project when working on a DVD menu. Any suggestions?

Re: DVD Preview Aborting
Hi edrizz
It may be the content of your project, a clip that the program does not read correctly.
Run a test---new project---add the samples from the library-then Share Create Disc, do you experience the same problems using these files?
With your project open---Share Create Disc effectively adds a VSP a project file to the burner module, if you experience problems then first convert the project to create a compliant Mpeg2 file, then using that file burn a dvd.
If you have problems rendering the project then clearly you have a problem with its content.
Can you give details of the files used in the project?
To burn a DVD----Start a new project--nothing in the timeline--Share Create Disc--Add Video File adding the compliant Mpeg2. Using this process do you have problems.

Re: DVD Preview Aborting
I made a change that seems to have made the DVD preview stable. Before, I started a new project with nothing in the timeline, then went into Share Create Disc, added 3 AVCHD files, one VSP, and one .MOV file. The change I made was to render the one VSP into a AVCHD file and used it instead of the VSP (I actually made this change because the audio was out of sync with the video on the final disc) . The VSP seems to have been the culprit, possibly some type of bad content.
