Aligning titles

Post by jparnold »

I know that this has been covered before (here http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic. ... 25#p197560) but I cannot replicate the answer from Black lab wherein he suggests using the GRID.
I can only find displaying grid by selecting a video clip then (in attributes) 'distort clip' plus 'show grid lines) which does not display the title and as soon as you select the title the grid lines disappear.
Am I missing the point? Is there another place where display grid lines can be turned on?

Hi John

Select the text on the preview screen.
The Edit Tab below the library shows an option to Show Grid Lines adjacent to Text Backdrop.

Is this what you are looking for?

What are you trying to do?

Thanks Trevor,
I must be going blind as I missed seeing that.
I also checked the user manual but NOTHING explained there. The user manual is very lacking in the 'nitty gritty' whcih I have found many times.

What was I trying to do? Centre the text on the screen.

Thanks again

Hi John

Well next to the Show Grid Lines option, to the right is a square containing 9 arrows, called "Alignment"
With your text selected in the preview window hit the center, will place your text in the middle.
If you wish to move up-down use the Keyboard Arrows rather than dragging.
