Save For Web in ASP?

Post by Rylos007 »

Wow, I have to say finding this forum was rather challenging. They do not have it on the main web page???...

Anyway, I have trial version of aftershot pro. I have PSE-7 as well. I would like to move over to Corel products.

Does ASP have a 'Save for web' option? I am taking photos and placing them on the web. They are nothing amazing, but want to get in the habit of doing save for web as they do not print so well, which is what I want. Do not want my photos stolen.

PSE7 has a save for web option. Am I using the wrong product? Corel photo and video stuff is all new to me. Will most likely be getting the video suite as well.

Thanks much.
Rylos

Set up a batch queue that resizes to 800 long/short, Quality 85%, output sharpening 130/0.8/1, output profile sRGB, embed copyright and exclude EXIF/IPTC/XMP.

You might also look at Plugins Texa, zText and Typewriter to put a watermark in.

Thanks Afx! Don't know exactly how to do that as of yet. Batch that is. I will ask if I can not figure it out. Good for me to work through it so I know how to do batch. I am one of those that needs to do it to learn it.

Peace and Blessings

Have a look at the manual for the batch queues. And check the Kickstart link in my signature...

Online, in Help, separate file when I downloaded trial?

Thanks

Press F1 for the online help.
There should be a link for a PDF version as well via
http://product.corel.com/help/AfterShot ... /index.htm

Of course, batch works with JPGs.
AS is non destructive converter independent of input format that just applies processing instructions to an image and emits an output image based on the processing instructions.

Yea, I was in the F1 help before I came to the web site. But those are not always very much help. For example, doing a search on 'Watermark' yields nothing. But I did figure out the batch. That was easy even though I have never used batch files for photos before other than rename in Irfanview. :)

Have the photos up at http://www.timlist.net/2012/07/miken-vi ... key-stick/

Well, AS itself does not have any support for watermarks...
Looks like you forgot to include the copyright ;-)

No watermark huh? Well, seems they AS is in good company. No one seems to offer that out of the gate. Probably because a watermark means something to some and something else to others, etc. No one wants the same thing. Still...

Could have sworn I had the Copy right on... :(
Guess I can just do a batch and fix that? Except they are all no the web in WP. Guess I can just upload them and over wright them.

Thanks for looking!

As I mentioned initialyl, check the Texa, TypeWriter and zText for watermarks:
http://www.aftershotpro.com/plugins/

And it is totally trivial to define a preset for a plugin that is only applied in the batch queue that you use for your online images.

Doh, I got the plugins. Just forgot. Too many new things to play with I guess.
zText seems to do the job just fine.
