Hello,
Sure I'm a little dumb, but I cannot fade out the sound at the end of my movie.
I have just bought VideoStudio X5 and added the SP1.
On my first try, I have added a MP3 file on my silent movie, on the music track.
On this track, I have shortened the music to the end of the movie and with the sound properties panel displayed, I have click the fadeout button which is now on.
But when I test my movie or when I generate a video file, the music doesn't fade out and stops suddenly at the end of the movie.
Where am I wrong (I have attached a screen copy) ?
Thanks.
Obiwan.

Re: Sound fade out in X5 ?
Hello Obiwan,
It appears you have raised the "overall" clip volume (represented by the horizontal light blue line) by 306 percent, so you won't hear a fade-out to silence. You will have to lower the "overall" volume to 100. If you need to have other parts of the clip louder, you can adjust the pink (salmon) line by using the volume slider on the Sound Mixer tab while in "Project" mode, not in "Clip" mode as you might think. Or, select the clip to go into "Clip" mode, then create points on the pink line using your mouse, then adjust the points up or down.

Yes, it is because the sound of my sound clip is very low.
So I'll try what you explain.
Thanks for your help.

Hi
Your audio level seems to reduce just before the end then raise in volume to the end.
Reduce the length of the clip by a few seconds so the fade out hits the low volume area.
Also
There is a free program called Audacity that may members use, may help in editing the audio file.
