Sony DSC-RX100 RAW support

I just got my hands on the new Sony DSC-RX100. AfterShot Pro doesn't understand its RAW files, which is not surprising since I read that Sony has changed the format and no one's tools can read it right now.

Shooting in RAW is one of the great things about this new pocket camera, and I'm hoping the AfterShot Pro development team can add support for its RAW files. I've uploaded a sample RAW file (upload ID 354) if you need one, and if there is anything else I can do to help this effort, I am happy to help. I really enjoy AfterShot Pro -- I'm running Linux, and I had almost given up hope for finding quality software like this that runs on Linux before I discovered ASP.

Are there any other Sony RX100 owners who would also like to see this RAW support added?

I have not the RX100 but I am playing with the idea to get one next month, but I am not decided yet, the alternative would be for me the Nikon P7100 (flexible, cheaper, tilting screen, zoom range, flash shoe, ND filter). The RX100 on the other hand is smaller and has the fantastic sensor. Do you know the P7100 - how would you compare them?

PS: of course I hope too that the RX100 RAW format gets supported, as I hope that the P7100 lens distortion gets corrected one day in ASP.

I've uploaded a sample RAW file from the RX100 and it's upload ID 354. If you need any more samples, just let me know!

yes please! Aftershot Pro is the program I usually go to first for quick work. I also use Aperture for some things too. Hopefully, the update will come sooner or later.

I just received mine as well, very nice camera and it is selling like cupcakes, so please add raw support soon

Same here, didn't buy ASP yet, since it has no use until ARW2.1 will be supported.
