Hi - I'm new to Video Studio and new to the forum after downloading the trial of X5. Want to know how to move and scale a graphic such as a jpeg across the screen along an animation path - iE; I have a picture of an object that starts at one point in the top left hand corner which I can animate to grow bigger and move to the bottom of the screen.
Thanks for any help on this.

Re: Animation Paths
Hi Lisa
and welcome to the forums
There are a few options in moving images across the screen.
You will be best to use the Overlay track rather than the top track
Your image will show as a smaller version, you can re-size by dragging the corners.
Right click the image within the preview screen for Anchor and sizing options.
--------------------
With the Clip selected in the overlay track, click the " options" button (far right) to open the panel,
The Directions and styles will provide a simple effect.
---------------------
There is an FX filter called Picture - in - Picture this is probably the best option to animating the clips, a bit of a learning curve.
Drag the filter over the clip in the timeline, the image shows with a black border---open the options panel---, you have to use the Chroma Key the black background by using the Mask Filter--apply the full white screen filter, its next to the checker-board one.
You should now see the image as a small version
Now choose Customise filter and the fun begins
---------------------
Video Studio has an option to create Instant Projects, these create intros to your project, some use the P-in - P filter so are a good way yo explore how the filter is used.
However they use a place holder.jpeg, you have to replace this with your own images
Right click the clip in the timeline and choose replace clip(or drag and drop from library whilst holding the CTRL key
lots to go at, hope this helps.
