Menus - Duplicate

Post by jomay »

I am a new user of PS 3 and have found it fairly easy to use. However, I somehow created a duplicate menu for my slideshow. I cannot find in the manual how to delete the duplicate menu! I can see how to replace it, but I want it gone. Thanks for help! :(

You mean a second button on the menu? That just means you have a second slideshow. Go back to Step 1 and delete the second slideshow.

No, it's actually a 2nd menu (I used a template from the program). My project opens with a background menu (graduation theme), goes to next "slide" and it's the same background menu (graduation theme). Then I can forward into the slideshow.

I tried removing it (selection is dimmed), then tried replacing it. Of course it replaced it on both.

Any other suggestions? I may just have to start over and re-create the project. Thanks in advance.

That happenened to me too and I'd like to know if there is an answer. I think I just began to create my slideshow all over again, which doesn't sound like the best option.

PictureShow does not support sub menus like MovieFactory does.

jomay, you might have created more slideshow chapters that what is provided for with the template you chose. For example, if you have 4 slideshow chapters and you chose a template with only 2 thumbnails, then there will be a second page menu. What you can do is to compress as much of the slides you can into 2 slideshows so there won't be a second page... or, choose a template that allows 4 thumbnails for chapters.

Thanks, 2log. Very good explanation. I ended up re-doing my slideshow before I saw your answer. I really appreciate this web board because the instructional manual is not that comprehensive.

Thanks, Anyway, aside from the manual, Ulead provides some task tutorials online. Visit the Ulead Learning Center at: http://www.ulead.com/learning/runme.htm
