Help please on resizing
Can anyone help please (Ulead Videostudio version 9). I am trying to compile a number of clips of tv into 1 programme, the problem is that some of the clips are not full frame, but half size widescreen etc. Is there a way in video studio to convert all of these clips to full frame etc, so the whole programme looks the same or do I use a different piece of software. Another question, what is the max lengh of dvd output you can use the software before it loses picture quality, some of my recent productions have been poor quality picture wise, even though the input picture quality has been high. Thanks for any advice.

Re: Help please on resizing
Hi
and welcome to the forums
You need to tell us what type of video file you are using, if its HD then you may have some issues as VS 9 is relatively old.
Right click a clip in the timeline and select properties, what are they.?
Now tell us what you are trying to make, a dvd or video for internet?
Video Studio 9's project properties default to using a 4:3 frame ratio
If your video is using 16:9 widescreen then the video will display as a smaller version having black borders top and bottom.
Go to File Project Properties-Edit--General tab--change the aspect ratio to 16:9
Read this guide to Widescreen 16:9 may help in explaining the aspects, written for VS10 but should be applicable to 9
http://lata.me.uk/video_studio/16_9/16_9.htm
A standard dvd holds 4.3 Gb of data It uses Mpeg2 type files,
As a guide using a Bit Rate of 8000kbps will allow for 60 minutes of video at DVD quality
6000kbps will allow for 90 minutes, good quality
4000kbps will give 120 minutes at VHS quality
Again please right click a clip in the timeline and select properties, what are they.?
