Paintshop Pro X4 crashing???Other problems!!!

My Paintshop Pro X4 was working great, until I registered it today, then all hell broke loose. It crashes and also I cannot get the "Computer" tab to open, only the "Desktop" tab will work correctly.
Tried restarting it, same results. Anyone have a similar problems like mine? If so how can I fix it??
I use Win XP Pro SP3 and computer does not have virus, nor malware. Hard drive is 500G. Graphics card is updated and more than adequate.

Have you tried resetting the program to its factory default under File > Preferences > Reset Preferences > Reset workspace to default configuration...?

I might add that I -- and no doubt many (most?) other users -- have registered the program with no ensuing problems like yours... So it's a bit of a mystery.
